Competing at 113# at the NSAA State Wrestling Tournament in Omaha, Neligh-Oakdale's Cameron Wilkinson is congratulated by coaches Gary Davis and Aaron Wilson.

Day two of the NSAA State Wrestling Tournament continues at the CHI Health Arena in Omaha.

Four Neligh-Oakdale wrestlers continue to find success on the mats and advance to Friday night's competition.

Wrestling at 113#, Brock Kester defeated Jon Peterka of Sutherland during first round action Thursday, by an 8-2 decision. He met Scout Ashburn of Plainview Friday morning in quarterfinals and lost by fall in overtime. That pitted Kester against Logan Peterson of South Loup/Callaway/Arnold, in consolation round 2 with Kester winning by fall in 4:34. Kester will take on Nathaniel Murillo of Morrill Friday night.

Also wrestling at 113# is Cameron Wilkinson. Wilkinson the opening match over Austin Anderson of Hay Springs by fall in 1:41. Wilkinson then won over Cayden Ellis of Winside in quarterfinals by a 10-1 major decision. He will meet Teven Marshall of Mullen in Friday night action.

Andrew Herley, entered in the 132# weight class, opened the tourney with a pin over Cody Hanvey of Creighton in 1:06. He then pinned Brady Gracey of Mullen in 1:14 in quarterfinals and will face Trigger Pokorny of CEVA Friday night.

Jayden Arehart and Kaleb Pofahl are both competing at 170#. Arehart opened the tournament with a pin in 2:24 over Carl Mundt of Nebraska Christian. He lost in quarterfinals to Jarin Potts of Amherst by a 4-2 decision. In consolation round 2, Arehart  pinned Chad Samuelson of Palmer in 1:46. He will take on Talan Mcgill of North Platte St. Pat's in Friday night action.

Pofahl faced Bryce Zimmerer of Creighton Thursday in the opening round and lost by a 3-0 decision. In consolation round one, Pofahl pinned Cooper Slingsby of Ansley-Litchfield in 2:19. Pofahl was knocked out of the tourney in consolation round 2 after a loss to Dylan Davis-Mack of Medicine Valley by fall in 1:31.

Sophomore Dawson Kaup, wrestling at 195#, bows out of the tournament after losing by falls to Justin Brock of Nebraska Christian in 3:37 and Zane Musgrave of Hyannis in 1:59.

Colton Klabenes, competing at 220#, lost his opening round match against Carter Throener of Howells-Dodge by fall in 5:49. He lost in consolation round 1 to Delton Haines of Dundy County Stratton by a 2-1 decision.
