Funeral Service for Bob D. Hobbs, 80, of Ewing, will be Saturday, June 22, at 10 a.m. at United Methodist-Presbyterian Church in Ewing, with Pastor A.G. Turner, officiating. Music will be provided by Doris Ann Bollwitt, organist and Bob Sisson, soloist. Burial will be in Ewing City Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jared Kruntorad, Dustin Hobbs, Travis Schrunk, Logan Schrunk, Jacob Hobbs, Aaron Hoke and Rod Wright.
Visitation will be Friday, June 21, at 5 to 7 p.m. at Snider Memorial Funeral Home in Clearwater. Bob died June 18 at his home.

Bobby Dean Hobbs was born July 2, 1938 to Lee Albert and Mildred (Harding) Hobbs in O’Neill. In 1940, the family moved to Ewing. Bob attended Ewing Public School, graduating in 1956.
In March 1956, Bob joined the National Guard in O’Neill and was discharged in March 1957. At this time, he enlisted in the Army. He was stationed at Ft. Chaffee, Ark., Ft. Devins, Mass.; Ft Bragg, NC; Ft Lewis, Wash., and in Korea. He was in the Army Security Agency and received his final discharge papers Feb. 28, 1963.
On December 22, 1957 he was united in marriage to Janell Hoke at the United Methodist Church in Ewing. They started their married life at Ft. Bragg. To this union, four children were born. Bob had been engaged in trucking since 1964. Bob was very generous to all he met. Bob and Janell celebrated 61 years of marriage. He enjoyed trucking, collecting coins, Nebraska football, watching westerns, guns and mowing the yard. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Masons, Plainview Lodge #204 A.M. & F.M. Plainview.
He is survived by his wife, Janell, of Ewing; children, Robert Hobbs of Ewing, Hyla (Ken) Kruntorad of Ewing, Ryne (Joni) Hobbs of Brockville, Kan., and Wendi (Ryan) Schrunk of Ewing; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, Carrie (Chris) Phillips and Branson; Alicia (Brian) Klawinski and Kinsley, Carter, Caleb and Carson; Jared Kruntorad; Hannah Kruntorad and fiancé Alex Haase; Dustin, Amber and Jacob Hobbs; Travis (Margo) Schrunk and Lucas and Everett; Logan (Samantha) Schrunk; Morgan Schrunk; Tovah Plumer; brothers, Dwayne Hobbs, of Ewing, Dorrence Hobbs of Lincoln; sister-in-law, Darlene Hobbs of Fremont and Sue Hoke of O’Neill.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bill and Mick; sisters, Elsie, Lois and baby in-infancy; parents-in-law, DeWitt and Florence Hoke; brother-in-law, Clayton Hoke and grandson, Vaughn Plumer.
